Good Intentions
The best laid plans go a miss at times, which is what happened my blogging activity. Never mind heres a little update on what I have being up to....... The paradox that we are all ' temporary in the eternal 'created the foundations for the last body of work. Using everyday materials that I have a personal relationship with and using photography to create black and white images, which suggest fleeting, ephemeral out of control moments. These moments arouse and remind us of our own temporary existence.

Starting 2nd Year
After a summer of soul searching, head scratching, restlessness, I have decided that its really sculpture and combined media that will challenge and allow me to develop as a artist. Come the 12th Sept that is where I will start my 2nd year.
My other desire will always be print, I see it as an exciting medium with endless possibilities. Opportunities for merging.........

The end of year one
The end of the year and print is on the cards. The possibilities offered by the discipline I find exciting and endless. My final presentation of work was based on the theme personal identity shows some of the traditional print methods I have used and some experimental ones.Combining 2d and 3d is a constant challenge and one that drives me to experiment.

Print Ranking Project
Last week spent a week researching and sourcing material to help drive the image making process this week.
Our project is to focus on our own personal identity and sense of place. I am exploring and looking at how I write on my own body, how others write on my body? I am also taken by the fact that my identity can be stolen without anyone knowing what I look like so what am I made up of ?

The process I was introduced to this week was stone lithography. A very physical way of preparing your material to work on. It heightened my appreciation of what I was doing. I felt a certain excitement and sense of magic that this process offered.
