In preparation for assessment I have reviewed my work on the urban project to date.
The collection of work is a direct response to the freedom I felt to explore and experiment with a variety of materials and disciplines. I have discovered Artists that I didn't know existed, who have influenced the work. I have taking risks some paid off some didn't. At times I have lost my way and found it again by exploring, experimenting, talking with tutors, peers and researching other Artists.

These pieces reflects the combination and variety of materials and mediums used to explore the object

Everyday we discard so much with little thought. There is no association of a memory or a motive with the disregarded or mundane. My own personal experience of overlooking the mundane/obvious prompted a response to explore the manhole covers within the urban environment. |

Through layering, scraping, overlapping and distressing of images along with the combination of materials used, the work has evolved. This process provides me with the motive to experiment and explore the mundane while creating possibilities to notice the overlooked/mundane. |
